The best attractions in Miami
The most popular place to visit must be South Beach neighborhood in the city of Miami Beach; this is probably the area with the highest concentration of tourist attractions in Miami. Here you will find amazing nightlife, beautiful beaches, unique architecture and much more. A few of the best South Beach attractions are the famous Art Deco district with its special architecture – learn more about it at the Art Deco Welcome Center – , the infamous Versace House Casa Casuarina – where Gianni Versace lived and was shot in 1997 – , Lincoln Road if you want to go shopping, and for history and culture check out the Jewish Museum of Florida, the Wolfsonian-FIU or the Bass Museum of Art. Most of these South Beach sights, plus lots of great shops, restaurants and cafes can be found at Ocean Drive Boulevard.
Next, let’s head to Coral Gables. Among the must-see attractions of this area, the 83-acre Fairchild Tropical Botanical Garden with its wonderful Butterfly Garden, lots of birds, tropical plants and fruit trees, walking tours and sometimes also art exhibits; and the Venetian Pool, take up premium positions. The Venetian Pool is not just a normal swimming pool, it is actually a historic place! You can swim here in cool spring water, as this pool was formed from a rock quarry in 1923. There are cascading waterfalls, an observation tower, coral rock caves, and an island with palm trees.
