Top New York attractions
Lets start with the most important tip that can change your holiday completely – The New York pass! City passes are pre-paid cards that offer you free entrance to certain amount of landmarks, museums and attractions. Many cities offer them but New York offers you by far the best selection of city passes; we think every visitor should get one pass of the three on offer. The big question is which one you should take – here are our thoughts:
New York Pass: This is the most popular pass in the city. The pass offers you free entry to 80 different New York attractions. With this pass, it is like a buffet… if you can visit 8 attractions in a day, just do it… nothing will stop you. You buy this pass per day and the price per day drops according to the amount of days you choose. If you travel with kids, or you are the type of visitor who likes exploring a lot, this pass can not only save you hundreds of dollars, but also offer you an amazing opportunity to do more and see more in this great city. NYC attractions in the pass include: the Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty, Top of the Rock, NBC studio tour and more… the Pass also includes free city sightseeing cruises, food tours, special “behind the scenes tours” and much more. The list of things to do in NY is endless!
New York explorer pass: If you like to take things a bit slower, this should be your pass. Things work different here. You have a list of 56 different tours and New York attractions. And you can buy 3,5,7 or 10 attractions which you can explore in 30 days! The more attractions you buy the less you pay per attraction. How much will you save? Its your call… among the attractions and tours on offer you can take the hop on hop off bus, a special tour for “Gossip girl” fans and a speed boat ride – all cost about $45 – $50 each if you’d do them without the pass… This pass is also great if you wish to explore the city’s museums as it includes fast track tickets to all the major ones!
New York City pass: Want to visit mainly the “must” see attractions in New York? This is the best pass for you. The New York city pass only includes the essential NYC attractions in the city, together for one low price. With the pass you can get free entry to the Empire state Building (including a free “second entry” to explore New York lights at night), the Natural History Museum, the Metropolitan and Moma Museums. You can also pick between the Guggenheim museum or to visit the observatory deck “Top of the Rock” and you can choose either a sightseeing cruise, or Statue of Liberty and Ellis island cruise.
