SF is a great city to explore, with lots of great attractions such as the Fisherman’s Wharf, Union Square, the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, AT&T Park and the Golden Gate Park, just to name a few. The city offers amazing museums as well – the Exploratorium, California Academy of Sciences and De Young Museum are among the best. But if you plan to visit the city for a few days, our tip is to devote at least one day to exploring some of the great landmarks around it. Here are some of the places you should consider to visit:

Muir Woods – Located north of SF this national monument is the home of the great Sequoia AKA redwood trees, this old giants can reach the height of 115 meters (380 feet). We recommend to visit the forest anytime between May and October, when most of the trails will be available for a walk. If you will decide to take a guided tour to these woods, you may also visit Mediterranean-style Sausalito, which is considered to be the prettiest village in California.
17 mile drive – This is one of the most spectacular and American classic trails.
