This smokin’, sizzling and mouthwatering event in Madison Square Park promises to wow you. The extravaganza of smoked and grilled meat features top masters from restaurants all over the country. City of Water Day Festival

Enjoy a day out in the sun, by the water with your family at the City of Water Day Festival. This fun-filled, activity-packed event in July is an ideal way to benefit from the warm weather and water in New York City. The water-fest that takes place at Governors Island offers activities such as boat tours, kayaking and rowing. There’s also a selection of fishing demonstrations and environmental education! Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest

New Yorkers find all sorts of ways to celebrate Independence Day and one of these ways is through food. Each year in ConeyIsland, this competitive-eating event features several people eating as many hotdogs as they can! Shakespeare in the Park

If you’re in New York in July and you’re a fan of the theatre, then you must attend Shakespeare in the Park. This event held at Central Park’s Delacorte Theater is an annual festival that presents free performances of Shakespearean plays. This open-air theatre has hosted plays with well-known actors such as Meryl Streep and Morgan Freeman.
