Barcelona for Kids
Looking for things to do in Barcelona with kids? You are in the right place. If you wish to explore Barcelona attractions with your family here are some useful tips…
Barcelona is an ideal city destination for a family vacation. Visiting this amazing city, with its unique architecture, history and must-see attractions could become overwhelming though. We suggest devoting a half-day tour to view the important sightseeing, or get a hop-on-hop-off bus ticket to ensure that you will not miss a thing and so you won’t exhaust the kids too much.
Now that you viewed the essentials, you could devote more time to attractions that kids love. Why not visit the Barcelona Aquarium, or the Zoo? If you hold the Barcelona card you will get discounts or free entry for those attractions. Looking for a theme park? You could visit the amusement park located on top of the “Tibidabo Mountain”, or visit one of the theme parks outside of Barcelona. For more information check the offers in the special PDF guide we created for you, below the screen.

Next, we’d like to tell you something about Poble Espanyol, a popular attraction in Barcelona for kids ánd grown-ups. This is an exhibition of houses built in all the architecture styles you can find in Spain. The place is shaped like a village where each house is different. In the peak seasons various activities for children are being organized. You can also purchase a kit and play a treasure hunt together. Highly recommended!
Our next attraction is for the entire family as well: take a cable car from the top of the Montjuic castle. You can enter the castle for free and enjoy a tour around. In the summer you’ll find an open restaurant with music and drinks, operating at the back of the castle. In the Montjuic neighborhood you will also find the Magic Fountain – that displays a spectacle of music, lights, colors, motion, and water acrobatics in the evenings. It’s a wonderful sight and, also nice for a change, it’s for free!
Finally, a tip for you parents: if you visit the city for more than 2-3 days, why not take a day off and book a family day tour outside of the city? This will help the entire family to rest a bit, and will also give you the chance to see attractions outside of the city. There are lots of cool places to visit so make sure to get our city-guide with all the offers by clicking on the green button below the screen.
