New York Battery Park Gardens

There are plenty of things to do in New York. Battery Park Gardens, a 25 acre of Public Park is located in the southern tip of Manhattan, at the Battery. It got its name from the “battery of canons” set up by the Dutch settlers to defend the city. This was the original place to accept the immigrants and welcome them into the city. More than 8 million immigrants from all around the world walked through the park on their way to the US before Ellis Island became the main station of new arrivals.
