Las Vegas Cosmopolitan Area

Visiting Las Vegas any time soon? This constantly changing city is overflowing with attractions, of which many can be found in and around the mega resorts at the Vegas Boulevard, usually referred to as “the Strip”. You’ll find the top attractions easily – just follow the lights and crowds. You’d rather plan in advance where to go and what to see? Even better! We at Vidtur believe good preparation is key to a top vacation, so we’re all for it! If you’re planning to spend some time around the Cosmopolitan area at the Vegas Strip, then following tips about the area will come in handy.

When you’re a tourist in Las Vegas, then you will probably see the Strip as the heart of the city. The area around the Cosmopolitan is packed with top sites and popular family attractions. Spending a day here is like being in a city of its own!

The Cosmopolitan Resort opened in 2010 and is one of the city’s grandest hotels. Inside the walls of this modern looking landmark you can find luxury at the Sahra Spa & Hammam (enjoy a steam room or holistic body treatment in this unique desert-inspired spa which is located on level 14); or at Wicked Spoon if you are in need of some top quality food; whilst The Chandelier is ideal for a memorable bar and cocktail experience.

Things to do around the Cosmopolitan Resort

If these luxury activities don’t interest you so much, then you’ll be happy to know that around this resort there are many other magnificent Las Vegas attractions situated. So if you find yourself in Cosmopolitan area, you will not have to worry about getting bored. Don’t forget most hot spots on the Strip are only across the road or a short walk away – it’s impossible not to find something you like here!

So next, it’s time you head to the most splendid hotel on the Strip – the Bellagio – only a few steps away. This hotel, known for its lake between the building and the Strip, has hundreds of tourists flocking here day in day out to watch the impressive water fountain dance to all kinds of music. Once you have enjoyed this free Las Vegas attraction (the show usually takes place every 15 – 30 minutes between 3 pm – 12 am), it’s time to explore the inside of the Bellagio Resort. Do not be misled, resorts like this are not only about casinos and gambling. Las Vegas offers much more than that! For example, visit a Cirque du Soleil production – at the Bellagio you can see the show “O”. Cirque du Soleil shows are not cheap, but it’s a spectacle you will never forget!

Another great attraction (that could be for free if you hold the Las Vegas Power Pass!) is the Gallery of Fine Art, also at the Bellagio. Check the schedule before you go on your vacation to see the gallery’s exhibitions. After the art gallery, we are leaving the Bellagio. Right across the road is the Bally’s, another Vegas resort. Here you can eat a sensational steak at the famous Bally’s Steakhouse or for a great family occasion, take part in a tennis game.

Next door to Bally’s is the notorious Paris Las Vegas. Paris and Las Vegas are all in one here as you get to see replica’s of the Eiffel Tower, the Opera and the Arc de Triomphe. Owning the Power Pass gives you free entry to the Eiffel Tower Experience – climb the Eiffel Tower for some of the best views of the city! Watch our special video guide to learn more about this amazing city and all it has to offer…
