Las Vegas Fremont Street
Las Vegas has all the ingredients for a wonderful vacation, including mesmerizing attractions all over the city.
One of our favorite areas in Las Vegas is Fremont street in Downtown Vegas. This is a five-block pedestrian covered mall with kiosks, carts, bars, restaurants, street performers and musicians – all glitter with this sparkling, neon lights. Do not miss the Fremont Street Experience: a sound and light show on an overhead canopy above the street, which takes place hourly after dark and a true joy for both adults and children.
Things to do in Fremont street Las Vegas
One of the most spectacular things you can do at Fremont street – or actually above it – is zip-lining. Never heard of it? Zip-lining means flying above the crowd. Save this for the night for the best experience and views!
Casino lovers should note that “Insert Coins” is a fairly new place full of new and classic arcade games. More casinos are only steps away: EL Cortez, the Golden Nugget and The Plaza. As opposed to the Strip, you could easily find $5 minimum gaming tables and penny slots here.
Vegas is not all gambling and neon lights. The Arts District is home to art galleries and hosts First Friday events if you’re in town on the First Friday of the month. Join in a big festival with art, music and numerous tents and food trucks and even fire-dancers too.
A unique spot loved by locals is The Beat coffeehouse where you could get excellent coffee and vinyl records. You should not miss the brand new Smith Center to see a show – just make sure you get your tickets in advance! Check our special video guides on Vegas shows for more information.
To get some great views of Downtown, the Gold Diggers nightclub which is built open into the street is a perfect place to get your cocktails.
