During the 80’s the area was very run down and wasn’t considered a very good place to visit. Nowadays it is a highly influential and fashionable area with Victorian terraces attached to large Victorian townhouses. Real estate prices went up a lot in the past few years and if you want to rent an apartment here, you will need a high income or a rich daddy.
You can reach Notting Hill from the Notting Hill Gate underground station and if you come that way, make sure to visit George Orwell’s old house at the start of the market!
