Get to know more about the Stratosphere hotel in Las Vegas

Located on the north end of the Strip, the Stratosphere is mostly known for its huge observation tower with the same name, rising 1149 feet or 350 meters high up in the air. This is the highest observation point in Las Vegas and from the Stratosphere observation deck you can get breathtaking views of the city and the surrounding desert valley and majestic mountains. The hotel next to the tower appears relatively tiny, with “only” 24 floors.

The Stratosphere was opened in 1996 and has 2420 hotel rooms and a 80 square feet casino. The hotel is extremely popular with families, thanks to its rooftop pool and obviously the observation deck with its exciting thrill rides – The Big Shot , Insanity, Sky Jump and Xscream! Entrance to the tower is free if you hold the Las Vegas Power Pass, but for each ride you will have to pay extra. One tip: don’t have lunch just before you jump in one of these crazy thrill rides… better do it on an empty stomach, just to be on the safe side.
