The Ultimate San Francisco Things to do – Travel Guide

Watch the seals at Fisherman’s Wharf: Head out to Pier 39 to catch a glimpse of the crews of seals, playing, fighting and singing on a nearby deck. It’s like watching national geographic in action – it’s hard to take your eyes off these amazing creatures! Also, we recommend you enjoy one of the great restaurants in the Pier or shop in one of the funky souvenir shops in the area!

Hang out in the Mission and eat Mexican food where the locals do: The Mission neighborhood is an iconic one and the most hipster-ish spot in town. Some worry about heading out to the Mission and the “Tenderloin” as it is called by the locals, but it’s actually an awesome neighborhood for younger and older crowds with plenty of bars and popping lounges. We got stuck in a bar with Simpson’s pinball machine in it, we simply could not leave! But the highlight of the neighborhood is the Mexican eateries, and most specifically – Cancun, the best Mexican taqueria we ever tried! It’s located in a small, laid-back, traditional spot with some of the finest ceviche, guacamole and tacos we ever tasted. It’s always full with people, day and night!

Visit Castro district: The center LGBQT take pride in this gay-friendly city! It’s a beautiful neighborhood filled with iconic LGBQT spots. If you are in the area, Harvey Milk’s museum and store is a must place to visit! And if you are looking for some wild parties and happening spots all day and all night – that’s your neighborhood to visit – the party here is always somewhere, the question is if you are savvy enough to find it!
